Easy Way To Increase Your Revenue
This is the way I was able to ensure
that everyone bought a pair of glow chucks. I held a seminar that
the students could sign up for. About three weeks before the event I
would take a small group of students and teach them for 5 minutes.
Then at the end of the class I turned out the lights and had the
students show the rest of the class. Every day I had people rushing
the front desk to sign up. I offered the seminar for free, but they
had to pay for the chucks. So they were saving $40.00 on the
seminar. It worked like a charm. I don't suggest you perform just a
demo because you will not get the same result. This is why, when
students don't use the weapon themselves there is no excitement, if
there is no excitement then there is no emotion. If there is no
emotion then there is no sale. Remember, people buy on emotion and
justify with logic. So be sure that students always touch it, feel
it, use it. If you don't take this approach then it would be the
same as going to a car lot and sitting in chair while you watch the
salesman drive the car around the lot. It just doesn't work. What do
they do, they hand you the keys and put you in the drivers seats.
They know if you drive it, you will buy it. Take the same approach
with glow weapons and seminars. This always works because every
student gets a chance to use the glow chucks, and they all want to
sign up at the end of the class.
After the seminar was over I made sure to have a mini glow chuck
class at least 4 times a month. I put on the calendar, bring glow
chucks 6pm on specific days. During that class everyone focused on
their curriculum and then at 6:30pm the class was split. The
chuckers practiced simple patterns and tricks, and the rest of the
class did basics or non-dynamic drills. With 5 minutes left in
class, everyone sat down, the lights went off, and the glow chuckers
showed their tricks. I can't tell you how many times parents came up
me and wanted to buy the chucks. There was no selling involved, the
chucks sold themselves. Don't forget; always be very clear that glow
chucks are optional, and not a requirement. When the time changed
there was a problem, the sun was still up at 6pm, so here's what I
did. I went to hardware store and bought a tarp that was made out of
the same material that garbage bags are made of. I made some holes
in the tarp with a metal kit I also got at the store. I put some
nails up on the wall, and hung the tarp to cover the windows. It
takes less than 5 minutes to hang, and less time to bring it down.
About two weeks after the seminar, I held a glow chuck buddy day. It
is still one of my most popular events that I throw. The glow sticks
come with a string, so I tied the glow stick to the end of the
string and had the buddies spin them like the chucks. The reason I
had to do this was because I ran out of loaner glow chucks. This way
everybody had a chance to spin something that glows. At the end of
the class everybody sat down and three students came up to perform.
Then the next three and the next three. I passed the loaners around
so everyone got a chance to spin the chucks. At the end of the class
I gave them a pass to a mass intro class. Another strange thing
happened, almost all the buddies bought glow chucks on the spot. I
informed their parents that we were having a glow chuck class that
Thursday at 6pm. I also let the buddies keep the glow sticks they
used in class. It built excitement, and when there are emotional
they buy. Most of the buddies skipped the mass intro class, but
showed up for the nunchuck class and I signed up almost all of them
after the mini glow chuck class.
I also make a residual income every time I have a class because I
sell the glow sticks cheaper than the stores (Anywhere from
$1.00-$1.50, the stores charge about $2.00 each). I also put
together bulk packages, and a lot of parents bought them. I sold
1000 glow sticks in just over a months' time. There are a couple of
links below, I suggest Bernie's Glow sticks, and be sure to order
the slim sticks. They slide in and out of the chuck with no
problems.
